Oil prices hit 3-month low as US rig count climbs

Oil prices dropped to their lowest in three months on Monday despite OPEC efforts to curb crude output, dragged down as US drillers kept adding rigs. Brent crude had fallen 42 cents, or 0.82%, to its lowest since Nov.30 at $50.95 per barrel. It closed the previous session down 1.6% at $51.37 a barrel.
