Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia, said that only 2% of India’s GDP comes from Personal Income tax. He said this would probably be the lowest in the world. There are only 76 lakh people showing income of more than Rs 5 lakh he added. We need to do something about it and it’s a big challenge for us, he pointed out.
