Pay less for short-distance commute by BMTC buses

Short-distance commute in both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned buses will be cheaper from Saturday. About half of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation's (BMTC) passengers could benefit from the fare revision announced on Thursday. The second stage fare of non-air conditioned buses has been brought down from Rs.12 to Rs.10. This move of fare revision benefits 25% of the commuters according to Transport minister Ramalinga Reddy.
