Supreme Court AGR order not applicable on PSUs: Government

The government has detached PSUs that had some form of telecom licences, like GAIL India and Oil India, from a Supreme Court order that resulted into Rs.1.47-lakh crore dues sought from telecom firms, such as Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea, the government informed the Lok Sabha. OIL holds a national long-distance (NLD) service licence with the objective of monitoring operation of its pipeline network.
