Teva Pharmaceutical to cut up to 6,000 jobs: Report

The world’s biggest producer of generic drugs Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd is looking to eliminate between 5,000 and 6,000 positions over the next few years. According to a report, a 5,000-person reduction would save $2 billion. The company has already laid off about 100 employees in Israel, where it’s based, and is seeking to cut hundreds more in the coming weeks.
