Vegetable Prices Crash After Bumper Crop Across India

Vegetable prices have crashed in most Mandis across India, after a bumper crop following a good monsoon this season. Since farmers are unable to recover the cost of production, they have started distributing free vegetables or selling them at nominal rates across different parts of Maharashtra. Many farmers across the country, especially of potato and onion, are leaving their crops un harvested.
