Woman Offered Lift, Gangraped by Four in Moving Car in Etah's Pilua

A woman was allegedly gangraped by four people in a moving car in Uttar Pradesh's Etah after being offered a lift. The victim had been waiting for a bus when one of the accused, a distant relative, stopped his car and offered to drop her home, reports said. While a case has been registered, all four accused are absconding.

Google still considering Flipkart minority stake purchase

Google is reportedly still considering its decision to acquire a minority stake in Flipkart after Walmart invested $16 billion in the homegrown e-commerce firm. Both Walmart and Tiger Global have had at least five rounds of discussions with Google's parent Alphabet to convince the company to invest, reports added. Earlier, reports claimed Alphabet was investing around $2 billion in Flipkart.

Gold prices today slipped by Rs. 75 to Rs. 31,875 per 10 grams at the bullion market today, news agency Press Trust of India reported. Nanoparticles derived from tea leaves can inhibit the growth of lung cancer cells, destroying up to 80% of them, a team of Indian and British scientists has found. The study, published in the journal Applied NanoMaterials, outlines a new method of producing a type of nanoparticle called quantum dots. Tea leaves contain a wide variety of compounds, including polyphenols, amino acids, vitamins and antioxidants.
