Re-poll in one Bengal polling station: EC

The Election Commission has announced re-polling in one polling station under Kolkata North parliamentary constituency on Wednesday, according to a notification. The parliamentary constituency voted in the seventh phase on May 19. As per the notice, the re-poll will be held in Room no. 1 polling station at Sanskrit Collegiate School under the Jorasanko Assembly segment. Polling will be held from 7 am-6 pm.

Facebook, Google refuse to share public mail exchanges with EC

Facebook, Google and Twitter, among other technology firms, have reportedly not agreed to share details of their correspondence with Election Commission with RTI applicants over privacy concerns. Applicants reportedly sought correspondence details about misinformation on social media during general elections and content takedown requests. EC has reportedly not decided if it'll share the details.

Lok Sabha elections 2019: Rs 3439 crore haul by Election Commission

The Election Commission declared seizures worth Rs 3,439 crore from across the country, making it the highest ever during a parliamentary election. Tamil Nadu topped the list with seizures worth Rs 950 crore, followed by Rs 552 crore in Gujarat and Rs 426 crore in Delhi. Moreover, the EC received around 500 complaints of Model Code of Conduct violations against parties and candidates.

Kerala: Re-Poll Ordered at Four Booths on Account of Bogus Voting

The Election Commission of India announced that repolling will be conducted in four booths in the state of Kerala from where it was confirmed that bogus votes were cast on April-23 for the Lok Sabha elections. Goa Congress Files Complaint With Poll Body Against Vijai Sardesai

The Goa Congress has complained to the EC against state's Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai over his comments on "weaponising" the youth and demanded that he be charged with sedition. North Goa district's Youth Congress president Vivek D'Silva in a complaint lodged with the EC on Monday said Mr Sardesai's remark was "an indirect attempt to threaten voters" in the poll-bound Panaji Assembly constituency.
