The NSE and BSE will remain closed for trading on September-2, 2019 on account of Ganesh Chaturthi. Wholesale-commodity-markets, including metal and bullion, too will remain closed for trade. There will be no-trading activity in forex and commodity futures markets as well. The benchmark indices, on August-31, ended the volatile-session of first-day of the September F&O series on the higher-note with Nifty finished above 11,000-mark.

Return of FIIs drove Sensex and Nifty to deliver their best monthly performance in four-months in November as crude oil prices logged steepest correction in a decade, relieving the pressure on fiscal balances. BSE's 30-share Sensex rose 5.09% in November to 36,194.30, while NSE 50-share Nifty climbed 4.72% in month to 10,876.75. It was the best monthly gain since July for both the indices.
