An employee of Paytm has tested positive for coronavirus, pushing the e-wallet company to shut its Gurgaon office for two days. This is the 29th case that tested positive in India. The figures took a leap after a group of 15 Italian tourists tested positive for the disease over the last 24-hours. An Indian driver, who was travelling with them, has also tested positive.

A student of class-8 was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man in his flat in sector-56, police said. The incident occurred on Friday-night when the survivor was returning from his evening-walk, they said. The boy was chased by the accused, Amit Kumar, who then dragged him into the lift and took him to his flat where he allegedly sexually assaulted him him, police said.

A man in Gurgaon was killed allegedly by three of his friends after a ride in a luxury car borrowed by him, the police said. The three men have been arrested. The man's wife told the police the three-men had come to visit them at home. Later, he went-out with them for a ride in an Audi that he had borrowed from a friend.

Gurgaon police has arrested a woman for allegedly threatening a city-based businessman after implicating him in a rape case and demanding Rs. 40 lakh to let him off, a senior official said on Saturday. According to police, the incident happened two months ago when the man, who runs a workshop in Gurgaon's Sector-39, met with the 24-year-old woman, staying in a paying guest accommodation.

The NHRC sent a notice to the Gurgaon police commissioner over reports that a domestic help was allegedly detained for several-hours, stripped and thrashed by police personnel after her employers accused her of theft. The Gurgaon police chief has reportedly initiated a departmental enquiry into the incident and sent four policemen, including the SHO, to the police lines, the National Human Rights Commission said.

Following implementation of the amended Motor-Vehicles-Act 2019 in the country, Gurugram traffic-police issued a 'challan' of Rs.59,000 to tractor-trolley-driver for multiple-violations. The tractor-driver Ram Gopal who is also the owner of the vehicle was caught by traffic-police after he jumped the red-light at New-Colony T-junction on Tuesday evening. When he was asked to present documents of the vehicle, he was unable to do so.

A group of eunuchs robbed a pregnant woman and her husband on Friday when they visited their home in Gurgaon's Sector 46 area on the pretext of offering them blessings, the police said. A case has been registered at Sector 50 police station and a special team has been formed to probe the incident, the police said.

A 14-year-old girl from Meghalaya has been gang raped by four persons in Haryana here, Gurugram police PRO Subhash Bokan said. The incident came to light after the victim's parents approached the Meghalaya House in the national-capital and reported the incident late on Wednesday. Officials of Meghalaya House then escorted the victim and her family to register the complaint at a Gurugram police station.
