10% Indians to develop cancer, 1 in 15 will die of disease: WHO
According to the latest World Health Organization (WHO) report, one in 10 Indians will develop cancer during their lifetime, while one in 15 Indians will die of the disease. The six most common cancer types in India are breast cancer, oral cancer, cervical cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, and colorectal cancer, together accounting for 49% of all new cancer cases.
