Of over 50,000 frauds that hit banks in India in the last 11 fiscal years, the ICICI Bank, SBI and HDFC Bank reported highest number of cases, according to an RBI data. Of the total 53,334-cases of frauds reported during 2008-09 and 2018-19 fiscal years, involving a whopping Rs.2.05 lakh crore, ICICI Bank reported the highest number of cases at 6,811 involving Rs.5,033.81 crore.

ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar Monday skipped her scheduled appearance before the ED in a money laundering case probe, citing bad health, officials said. The probe involves the bank and the Videocon group. Chanda Kochhar will now be asked to depose later this week. She had not appeared before the agency even last week citing health reasons.

To bolster Odisha's efforts in rebuilding and restoration post-cyclone Fani, Adani Ports and ICICI Bank have donated a total of Rs. 35 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF). While the Adani Group has committed Rs.25 crore, ICICI Bank has donated Rs. 10 crore to support the people affected by the extremely severe cyclonic storm that made landfall in the state last week.

Instant messaging service WhatsApp may take-up to five-months to fully localise its payments data in India and go live, said two-bankers in know of matter, after a-test-launch of its payments service among a-limited-number of users faced stiff opposition from competitors last-year. The company does not share details of exact-number of users on its platform, but sources said it may be in range of 7L.

ICICI Bank has cut its MCLR by five basis-points across tenors from its previous benchmark rates. ICICI Bank has reduced these lending rates for overnight and one-month tenors to 8.5% from the previous 8.55%, three-month tenor to 8.55% from the previous 8.60, six-month tenor to 8.7% from the previous 8.75% and one-year tenor to 8.75% from the previous 8.8%, according to the bank's website.

Mi Pay payments app has been launched in India. Xiaomi at the Redmi Go launch event on Tuesday the Unified Payments Interface(UPI) based payments app in the country. To company emphasised it has complied with data localisation requirements, and the Mi Pay app has been approved by the NPCI. ICICI Bank will function as the payment service provider for the Mi Pay app.

The CBI has sought more documents from ICICI Bank in connection with loans given to Videocon during former CEO Chanda Kochhar's tenure, officials said. Additional documents have also been sought from Deepak Kochhar's NuPower Renewables and Venugopal Dhoot-led Videocon. The agency is going through various papers to prepare a questionnaire for the accused, officials added.

After grilling former CEO and MD of ICICI Bank Chanda Kochhar on Friday, investigative-agency ED summoned the top-banker at its Mumbai office on Saturday. Along with Chanda Kochhar, ED also quizzed her husband Deepak Kochhar and Videocon Group chief Venugopal Dhoot today in relation to ICICI Bank-Videocon loan case. During the raids conducted by CBI last-month, several-documents related to investigation of case were seized.

Hours after the Enforcement Directorate questioned former ICICI Bank chief executive Chanda Kochhar till 4 am this morning in a loan case, she was back at the probe agency's office at noon today. She left half-an-hour later. Her husband Deepak Kochhar and Videocon managing director Venugopal Dhoot are still at the Enforcement Directorate's office, sources said.
