Petrol, diesel prices became costlier after a-gap-of 20 days as international crude-oil-prices resumed upward movement led-by optimism that talks could soon resolve the trade war between the US and China, while supply cuts by major producers also supported the market. On Monday petrol prices were hiked by 21-22 paise/litre across major cities of the country while diesel became costlier by 8-9 paise/litre.

Petrol prices across the country remain unchanged on Sunday after continuing to fall for consecutive days. However, diesel rates cut around 10-11 paise today. Fuel price chart shows that petrol is now at its lowest-rate since October 2017, thanks to lower global crude oil prices. A litre of petrol now retails at Rs.68.29 in Delhi, Rs.73.95 in Mumbai, Rs.70.43 in Kolkata, Rs.70.85 in Chennai.

Petrol and diesel prices continued their downward trend on Saturday. Petrol becomes cheaper by 15-16 paise. Diesel rates cut around 18-20 paise today. A litre of petrol now retails at Rs 68.29 in Delhi while a diesel is sold at Rs 62.26 a litre. Fuel price chart shows that petrol is now at its lowest rate since October 2017.

Oil marketing companies today slashed petrol and diesel prices amid a decline in global-oil prices. Petrol prices today saw a cut of around 20 paise a litre in top-cities while diesel prices witnessed a fall of around 15 paise. In Delhi, petrol today retailed at Rs.69.55 a litre, in Kolkata Rs.71.65, in Mumbai Rs.75.18, in Chennai Rs.72.16, in Bengaluru Rs.70.11 and Rs.69.6 in Noida.

Petrol prices were raised by 5 paise across the country on Saturday. Diesel prices, on the other hand, were slashed by 7 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, and by 8 paise in Mumbai and Chennai. Petrol now costs Rs 70.34 per litre in Delhi, Rs 75.96 in Mumbai, Rs 72.99 in Chennai and Rs 72.43 in Kolkata.

With the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) remaining non-committal on crude oil supply cut at its Vienna meeting, fuel prices now appear to be heading for another slide in India. Petrol and diesel prices, down by about 15% in the last 2 months, dropped by 40 paise and 41 paise, respectively, today.

With crude oil prices hitting one-year low following seven consecutive weeks of losses, petrol and diesel prices are now at their lowest since the last few months. Petrol, diesel prices were reduced by 32 paise and 40 paise, respectively, on Saturday. While petrol price in Delhi is now the lowest since June, in Mumbai, petrol price has never been cheaper before this financial year.

Tracking a fall in international crude oil rates, petrol and diesel prices were cut down by 41 paise and 30 paise per litre, respectively, today. Rates are now lower than August figures. A litre of petrol today costs Rs 75.97 in Delhi, Rs 81.50 in Mumbai, Rs 76.57 in Bengaluru, Rs 78.88 in Chennai, Rs 77.93 in Kolkata and Rs 80.55 in Hyderabad.

After petrol and diesel prices were cut once again today by 19 paise and 17 paise, respectively, petrol prices are now at their lowest level since the last 3 months while diesel prices are at a 2-month low. International crude oil prices began rising in mid-August, directly affecting petrol and diesel prices in India.

Petrol and Diesel prices continued to witness a decline in the national-capital on Sunday. Petrol price in Delhi saw a dip of 16 paise and is now being retailed at Rs.77.73/litre, while diesel price was decreased by 12 paise and is now being sold at Rs.72.46/litre. Fuel prices had earlier witnessed a relentless hike in the country, burning holes in commuters' pockets.
