Due to the dispute at the Indo-China border over the territory of Ladakh, anti-China sentiment has become high across the country which resulted in boycotting of Chinese goods like toys, electronics etc., China being the world's largest manufacturer of toys, manufactures over 70% of toys in the world. India's toy market is worth over Rs 10,000 crore and 85% of toys sold in India are imported from other countries with China being the top source. Have you ever wondered why should we import toys from China while India has the capability of manufacturing it. In India, toys are made from an unorganized sector. In Chennapattana, Karnataka which is popular for its wooden toys there were about 25 to 30 thousand toymakers. So we should encourage local goods by boycotting Chinese products.
