From July 1, Govt. of India Launches Floating Rate Savings Bonds (2020): All you need to know

From July 1st, 2020 the central government has decided to launch floating rated savings bond which will give every investor an opportunity to invest in secured government instruments. This new rule is brought in place of the existing 7.75% savings bonds of 2018, which was withdrawn earlier this year on May 28th, 2020. In the new bond, interest will be paid semi annually, i.e on January 1st and July 1st respectively. The interest on January 1st, 2021 will be paid at 7.15%. And the rate for next half-year will be decided later. The reset will be done every 6 months, the first being on January 1st, 2021.
