Differences between Investing in Mutual Funds and investing in ULIPs

There are 4 important parameters which need to be evaluated while investing in these two parameters.

1. Charges: In ULIP there are two types of charges one is Fund management charges and premium allocation charges nut in Mutual fund there is only one charge called Fund Management charge.

2. Switching Facility: In Mutual Fund there is nothing called switching but in ULIP you will have the switching facility.

3. Insurance Coverage: There is no insurance coverage in Mutual funds but in ULIPs there is insurance coverage.

4. Tenure: Mutual Fund offers a lot of flexibility unless and until you will be locked for 3 years but in ULIPs there is always a 5 years lock-in.
