Can I continue to use an inactive account?

By IndianMoney , 1 year ago

To reactivate a dormant PPF(public provident fund) account, you have to visit the post office or a bank branch where your account is held and submit a written request along with a deposit of a minimum of Rs 500 for each inactive year. For each financial year that your account has been dormant, a penalty of Rs.50 is levied, which must be paid to initiate the reactivation process.
