Does the City of registration affect my premium?

By IndianMoney , 1 year ago
Yes. Motor Insurance is divided into 2 zones: 1. Zone A: Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. 2. Zone B: all other cities. If your vehicle is registered in Zone A, then the premium rates are higher. This is because due to heavy traffic and high population, the probability of accidents in these cities are higher. In zone B, premiums are likely to be lower compared to Zone A.
