What are the powers of SEBI?

SEBI has the following three powers: 1. Quasi-Judicial: With this authority, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) can conduct hearings and pass ruling judgments in cases of unethical and fraudulent trade practices. 2. Quasi-Legislative: Powers under this segment allow Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to draft rules and regulations for the protection of the interests of the investor. 3. Quasi-Executive: Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is authorized to file a case against anyone who violates its rules and regulation.
