Who can issue commercial papers?

Entities with excellent credit ratings are allowed to issue commercial papers. A company is required to abide by the following rules to issue commercial paper in India: - The company must have a minimum tangible net worth of Rs. 4 crores - The company has sanctioned working capital limits by banks and financial institutions - The amount borrowed by the company must be classified as a standard asset by the bank - The credit ratings of the company must be obtained by credit rating agencies approved by the RBI.
